Almost all of us were initially afraid of COVID. The media, corporations, and politicians made us believe that COVID was a vicious disease that would have resulted in the death of tens of millions of Americans. In reality for most of the population COVID will have little to no impact on their health and well being. Once CDC data started to come in, it was quite apparent that our schools, businesses, and institutions should have remained open. Despite this, Governor Whitmer has kept our state locked down, destroying thousands of businesses and causing trillions of dollars to leave the hands of the middle-class and enter the bank accounts of George Soros, Jeff Bezos, and the Walmart family because government defined their businesses as essential. It's time for America to re-open and for suspect populations with a multitude of pre-existing conditions to stay distanced and safe.
Out of all of the distinct cultural characteristics of the American people, three important issues define who we are as average Americans.
Unlike the coastal elite, the average American hold heartedly believes in the divinity of Jesus Christ. As a state Representative I will fight to bring God back into all of our educational institutions and strengthen religious freedoms in America.
Firearms too define who we are as a people. For that reason I am 100% Pro-Gun. As a lifetime NRA member and CPL instructor I will fight to expand firearm rights by repealing pistol registration, banning gun-free zones, and making Michigan a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary.
As a father and practicing Catholic I am 100% Pro-Life. More than 60% of this country believes in restricting or outright banning accessibility to abortions. There is evidence to suggest that abortion clinics are nothing more than organ harvesting centers that murder our most precious. As a State Representative I will fight to completely regulate Planned Parenthood to death and ban all forms of abortion.
Big Tech has become a domestic enemy to the American people. Apple, Google, Amazon, and Facebook's services have become 21st century utilities that are simply necessary for a family or business to function. For that reason, they should be treated similarly to water and power companies and should not be able to discriminate against a user for their political beliefs or other distinctions. Their censoring of President Trump from payment processing, social media, and digital infrastructure is an infringement on all of our basic human rights. As a State Representative I will fight to end Big Tech's reign.
Michigan's infrastructure is being managed by individuals who never worked in the private sector or have no experience in civil engineering. These bureaucrats intentionally prevent new innovative technologies from being used to fix our roads. Michigan is home to the best Civil Engineering school in the country - Lawrence Tech. We have the technical expertise to fix our roads and rebuild our infrastructure, we just have not pulled the trigger. As a State Representative I will fight to put the right people at the helm.
Affordable energy is a key component to rebuilding Michigan's economy. We need to make Michigan irresistible to manufacturing companies. The cost of energy is the biggest cost in manufacturing, second to labor and equipment. We are currently competing with several southern states that have almost half the energy cost as Michigan. We are blessed to have the largest natural gas deposits in the country, especially being that natural gas is one of the cheapest ways of creating clean energy. In 2021 and beyond, our energy policy makers will have crucial decisions to make that will make or break our future. I will fight to provide cheap energy to fuel Michigan's economy.
Manufacturing is the bread and butter of Macomb County. With the changing manufacturing technology landscape new automated tools, CNCs, and 3D printing have allowed companies to bring more and more manufacturing jobs back from foreign countries. It's important that we provide incentives to bring manufacturing facilities to our communities, de-regulate our economy to provide a friendly business environment, and bring educational opportunities to our high schools and colleges. As a state representative I will fight to prepare Michigan for the future.
